Cookies Policy
Effective date: 25 July 2026What are cookies?
Cookies are small files or identifiers stored or read by a website or service on your browser or device. They can remember information about a visit, support website functions, help protect a service or measure how it is used.
Similar technologies include browser local storage, tags and pixels. Depending on their purpose and the information associated with them, cookies and similar technologies may involve personal information under Australian privacy law.
Types of technologies used
Strictly necessary technologies
The website platform may use technologies required to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, remember essential settings and support access controls. These technologies may process technical information such as an IP address, browser details, security events and session identifiers.
Analytics and functional technologies
VAZ does not load optional HubSpot browser tracking during initial rendering. The script is requested only after you accept Analytics in the VAZ preference centre. Where configured and permitted, information may include cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referral information, browser details and interaction events.
After you accept Analytics, VAZ also measures the Core Web Vitals LCP, INP and CLS so the site can be kept fast and stable. Each anonymous record contains the metric, rating, navigation type, page path and site version. For LCP, it may also include the responsible page-element selector, coarse viewport and connection classes, and first-byte, resource-load and render-delay timings. The website does not add contact details, cookie identifiers, persistent visitor identifiers or IP addresses to this performance record. Analytics remains disabled when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled.
Marketing technologies
VAZ does not currently install a separate advertising pixel on this ChatGPT Sites website. If optional marketing technologies are added, this policy and the consent configuration will be updated before those technologies are used.
Providers
- OpenAI / ChatGPT Sites: website hosting, page delivery, platform security and access functionality. OpenAI Privacy Policy
- HubSpot: consent-gated website measurement and customer relationship management. The VAZ preference centre itself is first-party. HubSpot Privacy Policy
Following a link to LinkedIn, WhatsApp or another external service takes you to that provider. Its own privacy and cookie terms apply after you leave the VAZ website.
Consent and your choices
You can accept or reject non-essential categories in the VAZ preference centre and later revisit your choice using the Cookie settings control. Your choice is saved on this browser for up to 180 days.
You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
The VAZ preference centre works on the preview and production domains and does not depend on a HubSpot-hosted panel. Questions can be sent to privacy@vaz.au.
Overseas processing
Technology providers and their subprocessors may process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Singapore or other countries in which they operate.
Accepting non-essential cookies is not treated as blanket consent to unrelated uses of personal information or as consent that removes VAZ's accountability under APP 8.
Duration and retention
Some cookies last only for a browser session and others remain until their stated expiry or deletion. Provider-controlled durations may change.
Anonymous Core Web Vitals records are retained for up to 90 days.
Business records associated with an identified enquiry or client relationship are managed under the retention provisions of our Privacy Policy.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our website, providers or technologies change. The current version and effective date will remain on this page.
Questions about cookies or website tracking can be sent to the VAZ Privacy Officer at privacy@vaz.au.
